pretty cute <3

I saw on Kiara's Slay The Spire stream earlier that you said you're working on a slay the spire styled holo fan game? Any info on that? it sounds exciting

Hey there! That is in fact the next project that I'm working on. I can't share much because I'm still developing the underlying systems for it, but I can tell you it's based on the Council and I plan to eventually feature all of them as playable characters. It's a big project so I have no real idea how long it'll take, but I am super stoked to finish it and share it with everyone!

That's awesome! I wish you the best of luck, looking forwards to playing!

Fun game.

I liked the cute pixel art and the variety of upgrades and attacks available in the game.

Some improvement suggestions:

- It took me a while to identify that some zombies take more hits to kill than others. A health bar on the enemies would help.

- I didn't understand how to use special attacks until my third run or so. It would probably help if there was some sort of prompt to let the player know when they pick up an item that enables special attacks. "Special attack available!" with an arrow pointing to the attack slot or something like that.

I couldn't beat the boss but still felt like an interesting and fun game.

Good job!

Hello there!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll have to consider adding some sort of visual flair to my HUD to make it more clear when weapon items are picked up vs instant-use powerups like health restoration or invulnerability.

As for having health bars on the enemies, I was worried about making things too crowded visually (like possibly having health bars run into each other or draw on top of each other) and wanted to keep it fairly simple, like a retro game. Maybe I could try to differentiate the sprites a bit more, or add enemy health values to the Travel Guide section of the menu.
